Wekiwool
Wekiwool will be bringing a wonderful selection of fabulous squidgy art yarn to the Flaxmill, featuring a rainbow of colours as well as natural tones for the purists.

Tania has always been a maker at heart.
Growing up in rural New Zealand next door to her grandparents, she was inspired by her granny, an avid maker and gardener. Her childhood was filled with baking, home preserves and a house brimming with wool - knitting and crochet were ever-present.

A self-taught spinner, Tania's approach is likely a little unconventional.
In a previous career, she worked as a hairdresser, but after moving to the UK, she pursued an art and design foundation course, followed by a degree in Liverpool.

Now settled in North Wales for the past six years, Tania feels completely at home.
She loves the process of taking raw fleece and transforming it into beautiful yarns. Dyeing with acid dyes is a spontaneous and creative process for her, constantly mixing colours - resulting in unique, unrepeatable yarns that are truly an investment in art.

In addition to her yarns, Tania will also have art batts, fibre packs and braids, perfect for spinners, weavers and felters.
Visitors to Wekiwool's stand will be able to watch them spinning - either on a wheel or drop spindle!

And Tania will be happy to answer questions and offer advice where she can!
