Wild Field Fibre
Wild Field Fibre is the creative venture of Clare, who found herself in need of a new artistic outlet after being laid off from a haberdashery at the beginning of lockdown.
With a collection of dyes and yarn from past projects, she began experimenting, producing an array of beautiful colours. What started as a way to pass the time soon became a passion and now, following her retirement from midwifery due to long Covid, she dyes and sells her yarn at her own pace.

Each skein is uniquely hers, dyed by hand in colours that bring her joy - colours she hopes will inspire others too.
She specialises in British wool, heritage Shropshire lambswool and sustainable, hypoallergenic, plant-based Tencel.

While the colours are a source of delight, Clare’s true joy comes from knowing that her yarn becomes part of someone else’s creative journey - transformed into hats, socks, shawls, jumpers or even blankets.

The heritage Shropshire lambswool she works with comes from a farm in Montford Bridge, where the lambs are sired by a particularly impressive ram named Rambo.

At her stall, you will find a carefully curated selection of yarns ranging from 4-ply to aran in a wide variety of colours. She also stocks patterns from other independent designers and is always happy to chat about all things yarn-related.

At the event, Clare will be unveiling a special show colour - kept under wraps for now - along with some exclusive new patterns for sale.
