WoolwellnessUK
WoolWellnessUK was founded by Lucy out of a passion for heritage handwork and its incredible benefits for mental well-being.
With over 25 years of experience as an educator, she has seen first-hand how hands-on tactile crafts like wool work can support focus, creativity and emotional resilience.
Her workshops and products are designed not only to teach traditional skills but also to encourage mindfulness, self-expression and a deeper connection to natural materials. WoolWellnessUK stands out for its unique blend of heritage craft, neuroscience and well-being, helping people reconnect with their hands and minds in a fast-paced digital world.

Specialising in heritage wool crafts, Lucy focuses on knitting, felting and simple hand-spinning techniques. Her work explores how these traditional crafts can be used for self-expression, storytelling and emotional well-being.
The sensory experience of working with wool - the feel of the fibres, the transformation through simple movements and the grounding effect it has on both body and mind is something she finds deeply meditative. She enjoys sharing this experience with others, whether through workshops or handcrafted pieces.

One of the most meaningful projects Lucy has been involved in was with a group of teenagers facing significant challenges in the school environment due to past trauma. Traditional education wasn’t always the right fit for them, but through wool craft, specifically a large wet and needle-felted piece, they discovered a new way to express their emotions. Engaging with the materials, translating their experiences into something tangible and taking pride in their work was a powerful process that reinforced how heritage crafts can be a tool for self-expression, confidence, and healing.

At her stall, visitors can expect a selection of hand-spun, knitted and naturally dyed wool items, along with small crafting kits designed to encourage mindful engagement with wool craft. There will also be information about her workshops, which combine heritage handwork with mindfulness and well-being. A warm welcome, a chance to get hands-on and plenty of woolly inspiration await.

Lucy is bringing limited-edition mini crafting kits, ideal for beginners, children or as thoughtful, mindful gift. Exclusive hand-knitted and woven pieces, inspired by the rich textile history of the area will also be available.
